Quick QR is a free Chrome extension that generates QR codes for the current browser tab. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data We Access

When you open Quick QR, the extension reads the following from your active tab only:

• Page URL
• Page title
• Favicon URL

This information is used locally to display page metadata and generate the QR code. It is never sent to Algobots servers or any third party.

Data We Store

Quick QR saves your preferences locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API:

• Theme (light / dark)
• QR size, margin, and color settings

This data stays on your device and is not transmitted externally.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No personal information
• No browsing history logs
• No analytics or tracking
• No account registration
• No selling or sharing of data

Third-Party Services

The extension popup loads the Inter font from Google Fonts. If a page favicon is unavailable, a fallback favicon may be requested from Google's favicon service. These requests are subject to Google's privacy policy.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab / tabs — Read the current tab URL, title, and favicon to generate the QR code.
• storage — Save your theme and QR customization preferences.
• contextMenus — Add "Generate QR for this page" to the right-click menu.

Children's Privacy

Quick QR is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal data.
