Cloud & Delivery
We strengthen the cloud and delivery foundations around your product: AWS and Azure architecture, containerised delivery, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and observability with tools such as Sentry and Grafana.

Algobots Ltd is a UK software engineering consultancy based in Wirral, Merseyside (Established June 2019). We help product and engineering teams build, rescue and modernise mobile apps, web platforms and custom software, UK-wide. This page explains our cloud & delivery practice.
Delivery practice, not hosting resale
Cloud and delivery work at Algobots is about how your product reaches production reliably. We do not sell managed hosting or pretend to replace a 24/7 NOC. We help engineering teams own pipelines, environments and observability that match the architecture they need.
Problems show up as long weekends spent deploying, alerts nobody trusts, and “works on my machine” becoming the unofficial motto. Fixing that is less about picking a trendy platform and more about disciplined automation and clear ownership.
What we implement
Infrastructure patterns on AWS or Azure: environments that mirror production sensibly, secrets handled properly, and containers where they reduce drift. Many UK clients already have accounts and policies; we work inside those guardrails instead of insisting on a greenfield account.
CI/CD pipelines that build, test and promote artefacts with human approval only where it adds value. Mobile adds signing and store upload steps; web adds preview environments. We document rollback because deploy scripts are useless if nobody dares run them backward.
Observability with tools teams already pay for, often Sentry for errors and Grafana or cloud-native metrics for saturation and latency. Dashboards should answer on-call questions in one screen, not decorate a wall.
How this connects to product work
Delivery improvements land best when tied to a product roadmap. Releasing more often matters if product has small slices ready to ship. We coordinate with engineering and product leads so pipeline work does not become an abstract side quest.
Security scanning, dependency updates and backup verification belong in the same habit loop as feature delivery. We help you choose checks that fail builds for real issues instead of noise your team ignores.
Typical results
Teams deploy during business hours without heroics. Incidents become shorter because logs and traces actually correlate. New engineers get a README that matches reality, which sounds small but changes hiring outcomes.
If you need someone to operate servers indefinitely, we will say so and point you at managed service providers. If you need your product engineers to understand how their code runs in production, that is our fit.
Environments and compliance
Separate dev, staging and production with sensible data masking. Production-like staging catches integration bugs; toy environments waste time. For regulated clients we document who can deploy, which secrets rotate where, and how audit logs are retained.
Mobile pipelines add signing keys, provisioning profiles and store API tokens. Web pipelines add CDN invalidation and serverless cold starts. We treat both as first-class citizens in the same programme instead of siloing “DevOps” away from product engineers.
Cost control matters on AWS and Azure. Right-sizing, autoscaling policies and spotting orphaned resources are part of delivery maturity. We highlight waste we see, though finance owns final decisions.
Incident response improves when runbooks link to dashboards and rollback commands. We run game days optionally: simulate dependency failure and walk through comms templates. Calm teams recover faster.
Engagements often start with a pipeline audit and finish with one happy-path deploy automated end to end. Expand from there once trust exists. Grand redesigns of tooling rarely succeed without incremental wins.
Starting a conversation
Bring a one-page summary of users, platforms and the decision that hurts today. Links to crash dashboards, architecture sketches or a repo readme save time in the first call. We do not need NDAs for an initial chat, though we sign them when required for deeper audits.
Expect straight answers about fit. If another partner is better suited, we say so. When we proceed, the first deliverable is usually a scoped proposal: outcomes, assumptions, rough timeline and what we need from your team weekly.
Engagements are invoiced in GBP with clear milestones. We work with procurement teams who need purchase orders and with founders who prefer lightweight email agreements. The mechanics are flexible; the engineering standard is not.
Documentation and handover are part of delivery, not an optional extra. Your team should be able to operate the result without us in the loop for daily fixes, unless you choose retained support.
What we need from your side
Access to repositories, CI, crash reporting and someone who knows recent release history. Product input for prioritisation and a single decision maker for scope changes keeps momentum. Security reviews are normal for enterprise clients; we provide statements of work and can work with your IT contacts.
We align with your sprint cadence where possible. Fixed-date marketing launches still happen; tell us early so upgrade work does not collide with immovable deadlines. Honesty about trade-offs protects customers and staff.
Most programmes benefit from a short retrospective after the first milestone. Capture what to repeat and what to fix in tooling. That habit pays back on the next upgrade cycle.
We publish no vanity metrics on this site. Outcomes depend on your starting point, team capacity and how boldly you fund maintenance alongside features.
Record decisions in your wiki or ADRs as you go. Future upgrades are cheaper when the last one was documented honestly, including dead ends.

FAQ
Common questions
Do you manage our AWS account day to day?
We are not a managed hosting provider. We design pipelines, infrastructure patterns and observability so your team can operate the environment, or work alongside your existing ops partner.
Which cloud platforms do you support?
Mostly AWS and Azure for UK clients. We containerise with Docker where it simplifies deploys and integrate Sentry, Grafana or similar for production visibility.
Our deploys are manual and scary. Can you help?
Yes. We map the current path to production, introduce automated checks and staged rollouts, and document rollback. Culture change matters as much as tooling.
How does cloud work relate to architecture engagements?
Delivery foundations should match the architecture you want. We often combine a short architecture review with pipeline and monitoring improvements in the same programme.
